ESPN has done it again. They never cease to amaze us with what they consider "creative."
The New England Patriots have their own section on The Bottomline. That's right. No longer are they in the 'NFL' category.
The scroll reads, 'Patriots' and the first words that pop up when highlighted are, 'Pursuit of Perfection' before showing the team's next games.
Look. We're not hating on the Patriots here. They don't talk about going undefeated in the regular season. They're 12-0 right now. But they don't care.
Many sportswriters will tell you one of the most cliche things an athlete or coach can say is, 'One game at a time.' We hate it. It's not a good quote, and it's boring. But the Patriots are truly going one game at a time. Listen to coach Bill Belichick's press conferences, or individual player interviews. These guys don't care about the next game or perfection. They're focused on this week. ESPN does care about perfection, and, frankly, it's annoying.
